Then a risotto is on the menu for later in the week and a cube or two will go into the stock.<br />Kalyn, the idea of putting a whole hot pepper in the pot when making stock comes from my friend Susan whose brother told her to do it. It makes a huge flavor difference. And, I just took some pix of my pepper plants to send to you. The trick is to plant them in the ground and not water them during the cold winter months.
